I have had praying mantids in my porch for a few weeks now. Just yesterday, I saw my female laying eggs on the branch that I put her on.
I am so excited to see baby nymphs in the spring! They are chinese mantids. The largest praying mantis species in the US. I have a picture of my female on my hand. She is very calm when held and doesn't jump.
The males, however, try to bite or fly away.
Do you have any wild pets? I would love to see them.
